9 Mile Hole
9 Mile Hole is a shallow water basin just East of the well known Land Cut. Only water craft specially rigged for the shallows will be able to navigate through this area. Drift fishing is preferred method for angling in these parts.
Known for its monster redfish tailing in the shallows and trophy sized trout make this a great fishing spot to list on your places to go.
The best access is from Rohoff's cut which will place you about dead center of the hole. As you enter 9 mile hole you'll see an airplane tail fin sticking out of the water. This is wreckage from the World War II era.
Nine Mile Hole received its name because the basin is about 3 miles wide & 6 miles long. Get updated weather conditions from the Baffin Bay Weather Station.
